CASTECHDRYSHAKE
Monolithic Surface Hardener for Industrial Concrete Floors
CASTECH Dryshake is a high-performance, non-metallic dry shake hardener composed of graded synthetic mineral aggregates, premium Portland cement and advanced plasticizers.

Overview
About
CASTECH Dryshake is a high-performance, non-metallic dry shake hardener composed of graded synthetic mineral aggregates, premium Portland cement and advanced plasticizers. Designed for monolithic integration with fresh concrete, it delivers an ultra-dense, abrasion-resistant surface that eliminates delamination and shrinkage cracks. The specialized aggregates ensure long-term durability without polishing under heavy traffic.
Typical uses
- Industrial floors (warehouses, factories, logistics centres)
- High-traffic areas (parking garages, retail spaces)
- Abrasion-resistant surfaces (forklift zones, production plants)
- Uncoated concrete floors requiring superior impact and skid resistance
Standards
CASTECH Dryshake complies with ASTM C 688 – S and EN 197-1.
Compatibility
CASTECH Dryshake is not suitable for areas exposed to acids or aggressive chemicals. Avoid application in extreme weather (high winds, direct sunlight).

Application
Application
Dosage: medium duty 3 – 5 kg/m²; heavy duty 5 – 7 kg/m². Timing: apply when the concrete is firm enough to support light foot pressure (5 mm indentation). Method: first pass – broadcast ⅔ of the material evenly; initial floating – wood float to embed the aggregates; second pass – apply the remaining ⅓ and finish with steel trowelling.
Curing
Apply CASTECH Cure WB/RB (or an equivalent membrane with > 75% efficiency per BS 7542). Maintain moisture for ≥ 7 days to ensure optimal strength development.
Packaging & storage
Packaging
25 kg moisture-resistant bags. Shelf life is 12 months in dry, sealed storage (< 30°C, RH < 60%).
Health & safety
- Avoid moisture contamination – keep bags sealed until use
- Store in dry conditions (< 30°C, RH < 60%) to prevent premature curing
- Do not stack pallets more than 5 layers high to prevent compaction PPE: Suitable protective goggles, gloves and mask must be worn. Precautions: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water; in case of contact with skin, wash off immediately with soap and water. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Hazard: Regarded as non-hazardous for transportation. Disposal: Do not reuse containers. Dispose of as per local rules and regulations. Additional information: Refer to MSDS (available request).
