About
CASTECH L-63 is a polyether-based nonionic surfactant and an efficient foam control agent, owing to its low foam characteristics, inverse water solubility, high thermal and chemical stability and good steric stabilization. In the admixture industry, CASTECH L-63 is used to control foam and reduce entrapped air. Its low surface tension also makes it an efficient low-foam wetting agent in water treatment, food processing, cleaning-in-place (CIP) and metal working formulations.

Application
Dosage
The optimal dosage of CASTECH L-63 depends on the specific process, the amount of foam being produced and the other chemicals and additives used. Generally, the dosage is in the range of 0.001% to 1.0% by weight, although it can vary depending on the circumstances. Trials are recommended to establish the optimum dosage.

Storage & shelf life
- Store in cool conditions, away from direct sunlight
- Keep containers sealed when not in use
- Recommended storage temperature 15 to 45°C
- Shelf life is two years from date of manufacture

CASTECH L-63 is non-toxic, non-flammable and non-corrosive. Suitable protective gloves and goggles should be worn. Splashes to the skin or eyes should be washed immediately with water and medical advice sought. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet for further information.
