CASTECH Tile Grout EG is a three-component, epoxy resin based grouting system for ceramic tiles in hygienic and heavy-duty conditions.

Overview
About
CASTECH Tile Grout EG is a three-component, epoxy resin based grouting system for ceramic tiles in hygienic and heavy-duty conditions. Once all the components are mixed, it gives a thixotropic paste used to grout the joints between ceramic tiles, mosaic, natural stones, marble, etc.
Typical uses
Internal and external grouting of ceramic tiles, mosaic, natural stones (every type of marble, especially those sensitive to water such as Verde Alpi, Rosso Sicilia, sandstones and slate), Klinker, etc. Wherever excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance and a hygienic environment are required,

Application
Surface preparation
CASTECH Tile Grout EG adheres to all solid, load-bearing, clean and dry surfaces free of substances which can cause separation. The surface, thin-bed mortar or bedding mortar must have set sufficiently hard, and joints must have been uniformly scraped. Joint preparation: grouting can start 24 hours after tile fixing. Clean the joints thoroughly, remove any loose tile Resistant and Hygienic adhesive and dust, and make sure the joints are dry.
Mixing
CASTECH Tile Grout EG is of heavy consistency and should be mechanically mixed. Pour the reactor (Part B) into the base (Part A) and mix thoroughly using a slow-speed electric drill with a paddle attachment for approximately 2 minutes, or until a lump- free, uniform consistency and colour is obtained. Use the mixed quantity within the pot life of the product.
Application
Apply the product with a hard rubber spatula. Immediately clean excess material with a slightly wet soft cloth; final cleaning should be done with a sponge dampened with solvent. Cleaning of excess material should take place within 15 minutes. Do not allow water to contact the wet grout, and allow the grout to cure before allowing foot traffic.
Packaging & storage
Packaging
CASTECH Tile Grout EG is available in 3.2 kg and 6.4 kg units.
Storage & shelf life
Store in cool, dry and shaded warehouses, under cover, out of direct sunlight and protected from extreme temperatures. Shelf life is 12 months when stored as recommended. In extreme tropical climates, store in a cooled environment; excessive humidity and over-exposure to UV will reduce shelf life.
Health & safety
CASTECH Tile Grout EG contains no hazardous substances; however, as with all construction chemical products, caution should always be exercised. PPE: Wear gloves and goggles whilst handling. Long-sleeve overalls, safety shoes and a face mask are recommended for maximum safety. Precautions: Treat any contact with skin or eyes with fresh water immediately. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; seek medical assistance immediately. Reseal all containers after use. Additional information: Refer to MSDS (available on request).
