CASTECHCURE WB 75
Water Based Curing Compound and Surface Sealer
CASTECH Cure WB 75 is a non-degradable concrete curing and sealing compound based on special inorganic materials.

Overview
About
CASTECH Cure WB 75 is a non-degradable concrete curing and sealing compound based on special inorganic materials. It is used to prevent rapid evaporation of water from fresh concrete to assure proper hydration of cement, adequate strength development and reduced plastic shrinkage cracks.
Typical uses
CASTECH Cure WB 75 is used to seal vertical and horizontal concrete surfaces, retaining moisture for effective curing of elements such as columns, beams, slabs, screeds, repair mortars, plasters and renders. It is used especially where the concrete surface will subsequently be coated with acrylic coatings, epoxy coatings, paints, etc.
Benefits
Advantages
Key advantages
- Improved curing of concrete enhances cement hydration and provides high strength concrete
- Spray application reduces labour cost
- Prevents premature moisture loss from concrete, thus reducing shrinkage
- Does not interfere with adhesion of subsequent treatments
- Protects concrete from sulphates and water-borne chloride
- Provides a dust free concrete surface
- Dual protection as curing and sealing compound
Technical data
| Component | Single |
|---|---|

Typical values. Refer to the TDS for full details and test conditions.
Application
Surface preparation
The concrete surface should be free from mould release agents, standing or bleed water and other impurities.
Application
CASTECH Cure WB 75 is ready to use and should not be diluted. Stir well before use. Start applying once the "free" water evaporates from horizontal surfaces or once the vertical form is stripped. Apply uniformly with knapsack spray equipment, woollen rollers, brush, etc. Two coat application is recommended.
Note
CASTECH Cure WB 75 does not adversely affect the bond between the substrate and subsequent finishes such as repair mortars (epoxy and polymer modified), tile adhesives (epoxy and polymer modified), paints based on PVA or acrylic co- polymers, bituminous emulsions, and epoxy and polyurethane floor coatings. For other types of subsequent coats, bond strength needs to be verified by on-site testing.
Coverage
5 – 8 m²/litre (coverage depends on surface finish, porosity and texture, as well as application techniques).
Packaging & storage
Packaging
5 litre, 20 litre and 200 litre containers.
Storage & shelf life
12 months from date of manufacture when stored under warehouse conditions in original unopened packing. Extreme temperature/humidity may reduce shelf life.
Health & safety
PPE: Suitable protective goggles, gloves and mask must be worn. Precautions: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water; in case of contact with skin, wash off immediately with soap and water. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Hazard: Regarded as non-hazardous for transportation. Disposal: Do not reuse containers. Dispose of as per local rules and regulations. Additional information: Refer to MSDS (available on request).
